Everytime I try to boot up me PC, I get a error saying "Disk I/O error. The message appears just after the "Verifying DMI pool data" or something like that. After that, the computer prompts "Replace Disk" whatever I do.
I am running Windows 95 on a Pentium MMX computer (pls don't laugh).
I see that the comp. only recognises the sec. slave disk on the table above the error message.

I did not make any changes and I have tried to connect all the cables properly. Any help would really be appreciated.

Did you set the jumpers on the hard drives to Master and Slave? C: has to be the Master on the Primary IDE channel.

Exception: on some of the 'brand' computers, a Cable Select data cable is used and one end goes to the motherboard, opposite end to Master, and middle connector to Slave [the cable is marked]. The drives both have to be jumpered CS.

Can you see the disk in the system BIOS?
