It referes to a location in the manual to find out how I install winsock 2.0 but i have no manual??? Where is winsoc 2.0 and how do i download it.

I have an XP system SP2 so this is quite a surprise....???

Meaning any spyware that kills winsock 2.0 has killed spyware doctor!!!

Hey,

Are you receiving any other error messages when you try to open other software?

You may need to visit the Microsoft website for more info. regarding winsock 2.0.

Also, have you tried re-installing SD?

Microsoft refers to Winsock 2.0 in Win 95 but i can not find any downloads for XP.

I will re install SD and see what happens.

Thanks.

I had the same problem. This program comes with a "auto back-up" for your system registry but it didn't work so just manually back up using reg edit. This system I'm currently working on is crawling with adware/spyware (which I'm still cleaning) so I'm unsure what directly caused the socket issues. Hope this helps.:)
