I was wondering if there was any software out there that allows you to make your background a moving image. I was wondering if there was one that lets you have animated pictures (say of a beach with waves rolling in) or of a full movie that is downloaded and looped over and over in the background. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I know its a double post. i put it in both forums incase someone read one forum and not the other. stating that someone made a double post still doesnt answer any questions they may have had.

If someone has an answer to your question, they'll give you one.

Are you people all teachers, or what? You seem a little testy, like teachers get this time of year. ; )
What video card do you have? Have you checked the vendor to see if there is software that achieves this? We use ATI cards with TV out, at work, and a few of our (testy) teachers have streaming net video (ie, cnn.com) running as their background.

tnguy,
Noone is testy. It's considered very bad etiquette to double, triple post on forums; it's rude.
It makes things confusing for the ones that go through all these posts trying to help and answer all the posts they can.
In the meantime, they've gotten answers over here and over there. Are those helping expected to go back and forth, trying to put it all together? All the posts are seen by them.

Carol,
You ARE a teacher, aren't you?
: )
I agree with you, it just seemed that your response was like a slap on the back of their hand with a ruler.

I didnt realize it was rude to double post. But i still dont have an answer to my question. I have a GeForce2MX and it does not have tv outs. I know some cards allow you to have the tv as a background.
I am wondering if there was a way to have a downloaded movie played as the background? I know you can have animated HTML pictures for a back ground, but is there a way to convert a movie file to an .htm file and have that set as the background? Any info appreciated

tnguy,
Very funny..../images/forums/icons/crazy.gif
I was only saying, that when someone has an answer, they'll give it. People sometimes expect an immediate answer. Well, it doesn't always work that way. How can someone give an answer, if they don't have one??

bigdawg204,
It's ok. We all need a lesson in "etiquette" from time to time.

Ok... how about an answer to the question.
I don't know about third-party stuff, but here's what Windows can do:
With the Active Desktop turned on, you can use .gif and .jpg as wallpapers. I know this works because I have an animated .gif as my current desktop.
In theory, you can load a web page as you wallpaper, but I don't know if you can use it to run full media. (I might try that)
