I have two computers with the same OS win98se one is a PC the other is a lap top, now the other day I had to log in but my password did not work so win guide mail me a new password that is good for the short run, now I edited my profile with my own password , do I have to do the same for the other computer as well ? for me to log in. So if one borrows the password from win guide one must edit it in profiles for each computer for it to be permanently stored and here is question #2 if one reformat and clean install the OS and one log in to win guide home page, does one have to reedit profile and if so , can one change the profile and password again but the user name stays the same or what!!!!please tell.....

Any user name/password used for Web sites should work on any computer. I don't think the sites access your computer/s for specific data to limit use to only that computer. You may not have the 'cookie' from a site to allow the user name/password to be saved and would have to re-enter each time.
