SKMy Outlook Express do not work at all and I checked every thing in accouts and options with my ISP support person and everything seems fine , but I keep on getting this: The host 'mail.dialup,ws' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.dialup.ws', Server: 'mail.dialup,ws', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.So now what is a fix for this horror I need my mail soon, explorer5.5 work ok ! now I do have norton 2002 firewall and norton 2000 updated and it scanned my pc and no bugs but the problem persists, so I'm thinking to deinstall OE and upgrade to 6.0 but I don't know how to do this( need advice on how to) or a tweak to make work ,oh one more thing I just got cofirmation from my friend that he received my mail from the PC and I got my e-mail on my LT cause no incoming on the PC, I need some serious help for this prob. I like to add that I compared the PC and the LT OE SET UP and they both look exactly the same. Help needed uuurgently!!!!!!!!

Would you mind trying to go into the options of Norton Firewall and Norton Antivirus and disabling autostart for both.
Now reboot. Does your Outlook Express work now?
Settings in either of those programs could well be responsible for your problem.

In your original mail your syntax is 'mail.dialup,ws'. Unless that is a typo the correct syntax should be 'mail.dialup.ws' (no comma). Go to Tools > Accounts> Mail> Properties> Servers. Change the incoming server (POP3) to: mail.dialup.ws
If that is not the case then see if any of these help.

That's true.
It often takes regular users like us to notice these things.

An amusing thought occured to me. From your first post:
Account: <font color=blue>'mail.dialup.ws'</font color=blue>, Server: 'mail.dialup,ws', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
You had it right here in the blue. Was that a typo in trying to recreate your typo?
Typo of a typo = no typo. /images/forums/icons/smile.gif
Doesn't look that amusing now its in print.
Maybe I'm just a warped individual.
Yeah. That's it.
