Is there a way to select all of the .ppt files within a given folder, and automatically merge/combine them into a single PowerPoint presentation?

Is this even possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Which version of powerpoint are you using?
I think this feature is only available in powerpoint 2002

I'm using 2000, but I need it to work on any version... Here's the scenario: I'm developing a CD ROM that outlines individual slides for a very large presentation. The user, while viewing any part of the CD ROM's "Presentation", can save individual slides (.ppt files) to their HD, and ultimately, when they've selected all of the slides they want for their own "custom" presentation, they'll click a button, and all the files they've saved to their HD will merge/combine into 1 ppt file.

Thanks for the tip on 2002 though, I've looked into it on another computer, and I see "Compare and Merge" on the tools menu. Perhaps I can write a macro using this in 2002.

After further searching i'm pretty sure it can't be done in powerpoint 2000. I use 2000 and can't see any way of doing it.
This is all i could find and it relates to 2002, click <a target="_blank" href=http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/2002/articles/ppMergePresentations.aspx> here </a>

Microsoft Binder is a program that puts different files from office programs together. I'm not familiar with it, I only know it 'exists'.
It might just be what you're looking for, or not at all.
