OK Im sure there is a way of doing this and hopefully someone out there can help..so here goes...

now i have a rather large spreadsheet in excel. and what i want to do is have two people open the document and be able edit certain cells.
now i know the problems of overwriting one users data with another. but the cells that need editing are different for each user so there would be no problem with overiting each others data. so can i easily open the document so that when each user changes the data in their cells it saves it to the one file, or having two identical files and merging the changes together........

Cheers for any help

I don't know that there's a way of merging two files together like that. At least, not that I know of.

Would there be problem, with them editing the same file and each saving their changes, or would they mess up each others data? :) I hope you know what I mean. Everytime a document is changed/edited, the new changes need to be saved, regardless.
