resizing window sizing when launching (W2K)

I feel silly asking this one...How do you set (in W2000) the default size of windows opening when you launch a program i.e. double click on IE or My Computer and it opens either maximized or to a set open size. And how do you set the size of the window that opens. Thanks, Chris

Try this, adjust the window to what you want, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking the X in the upper right corner. Re-open and see if it worked.
