I contracted this adware trojan last night trying to open a website. POPUP(1).htm - JS/NoClose . I was trying to get to www.stewmac.com but typed in www.stumac.com. When I realized it was the wrong website I closed it and a warning from my antivirus program anounced the virus. I deleted it right away then decided to go back to that site to varify if that was indeed the source. It was so I put it into Quarentine this time so I could check it out. What I want to know is if there's any way to notify or stop this web page from spreading this trojan. I also have adsubtract SE operating and it didn't stop the popups caused by this virus. See what McAfee says about it;

I just went and checked that site again and was infected again. Someone must know something about these things. It seems it attaches only to the temp internet files. If your antiirus is not up to date this thing could really cause you problems. If your daring and you know your antivirus is updated take a look for yourselves &lt;. www.stumac.com &gt; It deletes easy. I feel though that this should be exposed so others don't make the same mistake I did.

Ok, I had to bring this one up again because no one's responded to this and it should be touched on. I just had a bad popup experience by typing the wrong url into the internet bar. I typed <a target="_blank" href=http://www.winguide.com>www.winguide.com</a> , leaving off the s and all hell broke loose. Is there anything here that will attach itself to your computer? It went through anything on my Adshield.
