I set Messenger to stop running for several of my limited users' accounts. But now when those accounts start-up Outlook 2002 there is a 15 to 20 second delay while on the splash screen. How do I prevent Outlook from trying to contact Messenger and prevent these delays. When you disable Messenger in these accounts there is also a delay in the "Ask for remote assistance" portion of the Help and Support Center. Then it finally gives this message, "An administrator has denied permission to use Windows Messenger. For information, contact your administrator." The offer to get remote assistance still allows you to send an invitation via e-mail. How do I get these applications, especially Outlook to quit searching for Messenger?
