I was just wondering if some one new of a good free (as in the company wont pay for a proper one) network program that monitors the servers and clients resources. I mean like how much memory they are using, how much disk space is left, how much of the cpu is being used and event logs. I administor a 200 client network with about a dozen servers. This would make my life alot easier.

From Win2K, right-click My Computer and choose Manage. In the console that pops up, go to Action > Connect to another computer... and choose the compter name from the list. This will bring up the properties of the computer you wish to investigate. You will have the following control/info:

Shut down the computer or log off the user.

Event log viewer/manager.

System information, updated when you access it, that has all the typical sys info including total virtual and physical memory, and amount of each that is free.

Device manager (read only).

Manage users and groups defined.

View fixed and removeable drive properties, including size, file system, free space, etc.

Start, stop, manage local services.

And some other things I havn't found out how to work yet. A very handy built in tool.
