add\remove program icon not working

when i try to open add\remove programs in control panel it shows me the hour glass icon for some time and it the returns to normal cursor

pls help......

i hav tried regsvr32 appwiz.cpl

I am having the same issue on a Win 2000 Adv server box. I have tried the running regsvr32 as well and it successfully loads the dll but add/remove still gives the same result. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

Have the permissions on the appwiz.cpl file been checked?
