Some programs don't run (WXP)

Before, I had a Windows Me on the computer and all programs ran perfectly, then I changed it for a computer with Windows Xp(OEM), the same programs (Half Life, Baldur's Gate 2, Monster Truck Rumble) started to work strangly, some of them did not even run.

Computer:
Compaq
80GB hard drive
1600 Mhz
512MB Ram
Flat screen: Compaq fp745A
Windows Xp home edition.

Suggest you download this from Wndows Update:

Windows XP Application Compatibility Update

You can always right-click on the executable file and click the Compatatbility tab and change the operating system here.
