Does anyone know what are the standard steps to fix a corrupted registry in win NT?

this is a tough one, you will have to manually remove the registry entry. Try this program regclean.exe from www.download.com.. good luck

i have the same problem (win2k ,corrupted registry code 19 ) , windows doesn't see my cdrom drives.
Is someone know where to remove or modify bad keys/chains from the registry?

There are multiple posts in this forum regarding your problem and there are multiple potential solutions.

If you uninstalled easy CD creator then follow the details at the attached URL.

If not do a search in the W2K and registry forums and you will see some other possible solutions.
