I got a problem with my scanner over here in win98 and winme no problem with it both when I use the scanner in win2k windows report everytime an error such as:Cannot operate!
1.Please check if the scanner is connected
2.make sure that the scanner is connect to the power.
3.note that you can not connect the scanner to the bus power device.
what can I do ?
the scanner have only one cabel to attach it work without an adapter.
If you can help me it will be great

Looks like a driver issue if it works okay in W98. What is the scanner model?

drivers got nothing to do with it got all the drivers I need win2k, winxp, winme, win98, win95, mac,etc
its a features that must be enabled in win 2k somthing like let win understand that the power comes tru the usbcable himself its work with 5volts
true the mb. its a nasty prob. I tink
