Is there anyway to create a shortcut for the address toolbar so I can have it start up on the desktop during bootup to the desktop?
I'm talking about this address bar

Make it part of your taskbar.
Right click an empty space of your taskbar, go to toolbars and select Address.
You can now arrange the order in witch the Address bar, the task bar and the quick launch bar are displayed.

Looking at the picture, I can tell you’ve added the address bar in the right way. it keep disappearing because it’s not fixed to the task bar.
You have plenty of space on your task bar, I suggest that you minimize the Quick launch bar and fit the address bar in between the Quick launch and the task bar.
Tip: The address bar acts as a command prompt too, just type your dos commands strait onto it!

How do you get an undocked address bar like that? It seems like a handy thing to have. Also, when you give it a 'net address does a full IE window popup?

If you move your mouse to the left corner of any tool bar that you have added to the task bar, you’ll see the mouse pointer changing to two arrows (similar to “<=>”). You can now resize that tool bar by holding the left button down and dragging it to the left or right. Or you can drag it away from the task bar and towards the desktop; you’ll end up with a stand-alone tool bar.
If you type an address into it, it will launch IE with that page. If there is an instant of IE already running, it’ll use that instead. IE in turn will initiate a dial up connection to the Internet if you have configured it to connect automatically. So by typing the address into the bar, you save having to start IE manually then connect and then go to the web page you want.
Note: you can’t rejoin it to the task bar. You’ll have to close it and add it again.
It’s better to keep it ON the task bar, that way you can always access it without having to minimize running applications first.
Did that make any sense?

Thanks. When I booted up this morning, the address bar was still on the desktop. Looks like I just have to keep the toolbar open. Couldn't do that before my format.
Thanks anyways
