What are the uses for Windows Messaging? I accidently removed it in add/remove. Do I need it, and how can I reinstall it?
Thanks for any help

I have no idea, really.
I've always been blissfully unaware of its existence, but this hasn't really bothered me until you just mentioned it... /images/forums/icons/smile.gif
I have found an article explaining how to restore it, though:

Windows Messaging is left over from Win95. It was needed along with Exchange for communications/fax/E-Mail. Your computer probably was upgraded from Win95. You probably don't need it if your Internet Explorer/Outlook Express are working. If you want to send and receive faxes, you'll usually need it.

Windows Messaging AKA Microsoft Exchange was the former name for the old E-mail program until Outlook Express(a much better E-mail program) came into existence. There are also much better faxing programs available.
