After iserting a picture (photo) into a page, how do I move it's position. When I place the pointer around the edge of the picture, I just get resize handles. I can't drag it into place either. It just refuses to budge. How can I move the picture. I know it's probably easy if you know how, but I don't !
Thanks in advance

Would it work to put it in a text box and move it around instead?

Go to Insert on the menu bar, down to Text Box, and click it. Back on the page you are working on, click near where you want the box and click. The box will be small, resize the box to your need and while it is selected [shaded border around it] go back to Insert and Picture, then make your selection from the resulting menu.

Sorry for not replying sooner Bert. I'm in the midst of house moving and time is limited. Anyway, thanks for your help. It works OK if I follow your suggestion.

Thanks again
All the best

Hi,

The best way I know of, is inserting your image into Powerpoint and then copying that image into Word. When you have pasted the image there, you wont have any problems with moving images anywhere!!

To move an an inserted image, just click on the image. Then you'll get a four-pointed arrow and can move it wherever you want to.

The two-pointed arrow is for sizing. For best results when sizing, drag from a corner, so that you won't distort the image.
