transparent window backgroud

how to make the backgroud of a window transparent?
so that i can see my wallpaper even windows cover the whole destop

You'll need some kind of 3rd party software such as those that make the desktop icon background text color transparent. However, I'm not sure such a 3rd party critter exists--seems like if you have anything but a blank wallpaper, that setup would make reading window contents very difficult indeed.

you can install a utility called "WindowBlinds" and then install a skin called "Vertigo" from the site: www.skinz.org. WindowBLinds has an option you can set in it to use transparent backgrounds.
