Does anyone know how to delete a specific registry key using a command line in a .reg file?
EX: would you do something like this? I know this doesn't work.... Can someone give me the right command line to delete a specific key from the \test directory in the registry.
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\test]
delete "test" = string

the answer lies in creating .inf files. There's a posting at this site that tells you exactly how to do it. Start surfing

I have noticed that this question gets asked and re-answered quite a bit. How come the INF file details are not included in the Registry FAQ on this Web Site? Also, there should be more detailed info on using REG files, command line parameters of REGEDIT and stuff like that in there too!

Get RegDel from http://www.softseek.com/Utilities/Registry_Editors_and_Utilities/Review_23570_index.html for the option that MS has intentionally taken out.

Ahhhh...
Someone else who didn't at least search through the site first before asking a question that seemingly is asked and answered at least once a week.
