Hi newbie;
2 ways; both pretty easy.
1. If you have TweakUI, fire it up from control Panel and browse through there. You'll see where you can remove most desktop items by checking the box next to them.
2. If you don't have TweakUI, get it! It's available at many download sites. Meanwhile, fire up regedit and navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
Note all the keys comprising long alphanumerics enclosed in curley brackets. These are the CLSIDs (Class ID) numbers for various Window apps. Look for the one that says Inbox (highlight the key and look in the right pane) and delete the whole namespace key.
3. Click on your desktop, and Inbox will disappear.
4. Spend a LOT of time browsing these archives and the regedit tips... you won't be a newbie for long.
Regards...
