View Full Version : Shortcut Arrow Icon doesn't disappear (W98)

Hi!

I have TweakUI installed and I have the arrow icon for shortcuts removed, but yesterday I have updated windows from 'Windows Update', and the arrow is here another time...I checked TweakUI and all is in order, also the registry is in order. I have changed it and rebooted but the arrow continues appearing. Any solution? :[

Yes. If you installed the March 7 Security update, that's the problem. This is a new versoin of Shell32.dll and you are experiencing the side effect.

That update is not urgent. Most people are choosing to extract the original shell32.dll from their install CD's or Cabs on the hard drive if they have them and replacing the updated version of the file.
