Is it possible to specify another directory to receive the temporary Word files, instead of the one where resides the file being opened? For example: In a network environment the user has to open myfile.doc in F:\FILES. Automatically, Word creates its temporary files in the same directory. I would like to set the temporary files to C:\TEMP (~*.tmp, etc).
Tks in advance.

Would this help [I think the autorecover is much the same as temp]:

"Specify a location for automatically recovered files

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the File Locations tab.

In the File types box, click AutoRecover files.

Click Modify.

If you want to store automatically recovered files in a different folder, locate and open the folder.
Note If you use Microsoft Word on a computer running Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 98, automatically recovered files are by default stored in the Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Word folder. If you use Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0 or later, or you use a computer on which there is more than one active user profile, automatically recovered files are stored in the Windows\Profiles\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Word folder."
