Yes but have your drivers and a copy of DirectX ready for reinstalling before hand.

Do you have a particular Windows problem that may be quicker to fix rather than reinstalling Windows?

Too late..... This is a double post. The guy had problems with Mprexe--performed illegal operation and couldn't access Windows (even in safe mode). His computer was down and he had to return the rental PC yesterday. He re-installed and everything is working fine.
