Internet Explorer 5.5

Tools--Internet Options (disabled by accident)

I messed something up in registry or X-setup/TweakUI did it and now the Internet Options is missing from the Tools menu. I need to know which key/policy allows me to enable it again. I can still access Internet Options from the Control Panel but thats a pain to go there each time I want to disable Javascript or clear my cache.

WinME registry lacks those keys. I found the Internet Explorer key but it doesn't have a Restrictions key, maybe I can try creating one. Though, I wonder how I accidently disabled Internet Options if that key doesn't exist. Hmm.

I would never suggest something I didn't try on my machine...(WME)..I simply created the key and tested it. It certainly worked for me. Perhaps there is another solution to your problem. I will keep my eyes open.

I found NoFolderOptions in reg and then decided to do a search here at winguide and found an old post which said delete NoFolderOptions and NoBrowserOptions. It worked! Thanks to the both of you for your time.

also the control.ini file could be set up to disallow users to mess with these. the *.cpl files are still there, but don't show in control panel.
