When my computer is booting up, it stops with the following message. Can someone please help me. I don't want to have to reinstall windows. If I do end up having to reinstall windows, will I lose all my driver info for my burner and all the programs I currently have? Please help asap, please!

The message is as follows:

Verifying DMI Pool Data ..........
Starting Windows 98...

C:\>PATH C:\PROGRA~1\WIN98RK

C:\>

VMM32.VXD is required to run Windows.
If this file is not in your PATH, you may need to reinstall Windows.

C:\>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Hildylou,

I just answered you <a target="_blank" href=http://www.winguides.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=brdQuestions&Number=45124&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&part=1&vc=1>here</a>.

Please don't post the same question in different sections.

It's very confusing.

Tony

Sorry Tony. I didn't think that the first one went through, due to my internet connection being lost all of a sudden.
Thanks, I will try your suggestion.
