When winME loads, I get a dialog that states "Updating hardware information database"
It stays at 0% and locks. It does not do this while in Safe mode.
It started doing this when I tried to install a video card. I have removed the card and it still does it.
Does anyone know where the setting is to tell windows not to look for new hardware?
For example, the setting in MSDOS.sys where you can make windows not run scandisk on bootup.
