IE restrictions (W2K)

Thanks to the creator of this particular forum! We are using IE 6 on win2k pro machines. Active directory is not being used. Is it possible to get rid of the explorer bar option under the view menu? On win2k machines this allows people to search files and folders and computers on the network.

The only way i have found (not through theregistry), is to edit the browselc.dll file using a resource hacker such as:

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker/>Resource Hacker</a>

Even though you can hide the Favorites, Search, and History icons, they still appear functional under the View&gt;Explorer bar menu.
