There is a bug in the Minimize Outlook 2002 to System Tray Regdit. When you perform this RegEdit, all is well and it works fine. However, when you perform this RegEdit, for some reason, the SEND/RECEIVE dialog box cannot be disabled. In other words, my send/recieve dialog box pops up every time a send/receive is scheduled. Now, on the send/receive dialog box there is a disable check box. With this Regedit, even with this box checked to disable the send/receive box, it will still pop up. This only happens when this regedit is performed. If anyone knows a way to fix this bug, I would greatly apprecait it. I did a seach on GOOGLE GROUPS and a bunch of people are having this problem. But then again you would think Microsoft would have a built in function that would do this automatically.

Hello,

I have this tweak enabled on my Outlook 2002 and don't experience the problem. Which OS are you using? And have you installed any Office service packs or updates?

Regards,

I am running XP Home, and I have SP1 for Office XP. The bug existed both before and after I installed the service pack. As I had mentioned I have seen other people having this problem on Google Groups before. But just to clarify: what you are saying is that your send/recieve dialog box does not pop up when your Outlook is minimized to the system tray. Mind you, this only happens when it is minimixed to the system tray. If I have Outlook open the send/recieve will adhere to the disabled checkbox. Anyway if you hae any ideas let me know. I am glad that at least one person is not having this problem.

You can add another who does NOT have this problem. I am running XP Pro w/ Outlook 2002(XP).

I can have the check mark on or off for display and if I am minimized to the tray no dialog appears unless I have an error. If I am not minimized to the tray and the check box is checked for display I see the dialog box but never, either way, if I am minimized.

There must be some glitch. Don't know where tho.
