I loaded a imaging program and now when I pic my computer I get file explorer with the menu tree by default. Also I get a new window by no matter what my settings are. I am hoping that there is a regedit that changes this by default. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am confused and perhaps understanding the problem more clearly will bring more replies.

"I loaded a imaging program and now when I pic my computer I get file explorer with the menu tree by default."
By saying "when I pic my computer" are you meaning something having to do with the loaded imaging program or simply that when you doubleclick on the My Computer icon on your desktop it opens in an explorer view instead of the Open view?

"Also I get a new window by no matter what my settings are."
Does this happen in relation to the previous situation?
Please explain this a little further or provide an example of the behavior.

Sorry for the confusion. The program that I loaded is panagon 3.1 forms viewer for imageweb software. It changed the default explorer settings for my windows 2000 machine. When I select the "My Computer" icon my explorer used to come up in a web format. now it opens in a web format with the tree structure to the left hand side. Also when I select a folder on the right hand side to open it it does so in a new window not in the current window. The confusion is that it does this despite the setting under tools folder options. Also if I select a folder icon or my computer and right click and select open from the pop up menu it comes up the way it is suppose to?
I'm at a loss any help would be appreciated.

goetzinger,

Try going to Tools>Folder Options, click the File Types tab, scroll to N/A Folder, click the Advanced button and select open, then click the Set Default button. This should restore the defaults
