What is the problem?

See my reply to your earlier posting on this. You're lucky because your system has managed to turn off cache write-back. However, on many systems, mine included, it's permanently set (rebooting always sets it again). The warning you keep getting is valid but you're probably safe from HD corruption.

The solution is to obtain updated files classpnp.sys and disk.sys. Sp2 was supposed to update these but it doesn't work, at least not in SP2 installations on standalone machines. Apparently, it DOES work if you do an integrated install on a networked configuration.

I'd be interested to hear from you whether your own SP2 was a download from Microsoft and whether you're using a standalone PC or not.
