how can i change my default video player from quicktime to windows media player?

im using an old version of media player (6.1) but i think it should be alike in 7.0 or whatever verison

open media player
click on view/options

formats (or somethign like that) tab
and just select the type of files you to open with it

No ploblemo: Try this:
Go to Control Panel>Folder options>File Types
from the list find and select the file type extention for the video usually MPEG MOV WMV etc,
now click Advanced select the Open entry and click Edit, click Browse button and navigate to the software that you want the video files should open select it and click Open repeat this for the Play entry, click aply and that should do it
