I am doing a new install on a pent III computer. When it reboots upon bringing up the win2000 windows it hangs up. Going into safe mode and looking at the messages, I'm getting "DNS client server depends on TCP/IP protocol driver service which failed to start... A device attached to the system is not functioning" is the first message of many such like it. In my device manager under network are these additional devices that I don't have... 'Direct Parallel' 'WAN Miniport(IP)' 'WAN Miniport(L2TP)' and 'WAN Miniport(PPTP)' I had taken out my NIC card and did the reinstall with the same result. Also upon going into networking under control panels the system hangs again (have to reboot) cannot delete any of the devices... Any help would be appreciated....
