can someone explain what the difference between Windows 98
Windows98SE
Windows98Upgrade?

The major difference between Win98 and Win98SE is Internet Connection Sharing and Internet Explorer version. The Win98 Upgrade upgraded Win95. Then there was a Win98 Updates CD that upgraded Win98 only to Win98SE.
