I tried to run a video that is on a cd that came with a school book. It would not play, but I got the message that PLAY32.EXE could not be found. Can someone tell me how to rectify the situation?

The file may be on the CD, do a search for files on the CD including all folders. Seldom does a CD with movies/videos not have a player of some sort.

hhamel,

Play32.exe is from an OLD version of Quick Time.

The file (depending on 3-letter extension) should open with Windows Media Player. Or go here for a Quick Time check:

Thanks, problem resolved. All I did was drag the video icon to the Quicktime PLayer and release and it played. No need for file I was asking about.
