I uninstalled Visual Interdev and the system told me it was going to reboot and finish the uninstall. Now I have no desktop, toolbar, nothing. The only thing that appears is the cursor, which I can move. I tried rebooting in SAFE mode and the same thing happens. Nothing gets loaded except for the cursor. I went to the task manager and nothing is in there. HELP!!!

i was wondering how you are seeing this message...during the boot process you can end the autoexec process and go to dos mode...usually by pressing esc f10 f8 or f6. You can also use a boot disk and if you don't have one just let me know an alternate e-mail address so i can mail a disk image for ya. if windows boots just without anything you still might be able to get the windows cd to run and if so you will probally have to reinstall
Need any more help just tell me

Thanks for the reply.
I posted this through my work machine. It was my home machine that was having this problem.
To attempt to solve this I tried booting up with my WinME CD. It started booting with the CD and then went to boot up with my hard. Same problem came up. I then booted up using a Win 98 CD, got to the DOS prompt after the CD Drivers were installed, then I placed the WinME CD into the CD drive and ran setup that way. Very convoluted but everything reinstalled fine. phew.
