i need help,
i want the numlock to be pressed when windows 98
starts,
how do i do it?
is it from the cmos setup?

Yes, you have to enter the BIOS during startup [POST - PowerOnSelfTesting] and specifically set the Number Lock to come on during bootup. Windows reads the BIOS to see what resources are available and how to handle them.
