There is a file called OAKCDROM.SYS. Everytime I start up Windows, they say the file is corrupt. EveryTIME I GET THIS F***"INg MESSAGE. DOES ANYONE know how to get rid of this file????!!!!! WHERE THE HELL CAN I FIND IT IN MY FRICKING REGISTRY!!!!!!!>!>!>!>!>!>!>!>?!!?!?!?!?

Check in your CONFIG.SYS file (using notepad) as OAKCDROM.SYS was an old DOS CD-ROM driver for IDE drives.

On a typical Win98 machine, the config.sys file is not neccessary.
Open Windows Explorer to the root of the c: drive, right-click on config.sys, choose rename, and name it config.old.
Then restart.
