exporting favorites to a bookmark file

in internet explorer window: File - Import and Export....this brings up the import/export wizard. i want to export my favorites to a bookmark. HOWEVER, i have about 20 subfolders in the Favorites folder. it's not possible to hold down the control key to select them all. if i select the main folder (Favorites), the links in the subfolders are not exported. i would have to export each subfolder individually. is there a registry hack that would let me select them all at once?

I just tried it. I have 107 subfolders. I simply selected Favorites as the directory and it exported fine.

Check this key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\

FavoritesImportFolder should =C:\WINDOWS\Favorites

My Favorites are actually in the D root directory, which is where the reg key points. i wonder if this makes a difference, and why.
