persistant registry entry (W98)

Every registry clean removes 'HKEY CLASSES ROOT Comichat.Room2\protocol', and two other similar entries. Any idea where they are from? I don't knowingly use chat rooms. Thanks.

It's one of those Microsoft entries that's added by default. Just type Microsoft Comic Chat into any search engine. I've never known anyone who'se used it.

The C:\Program Files\Comic Chat directory is automatically created whether it's installed or not.

Are you saying the entries are being re-created?

I presume I receive these entries from another Microsoft site? Now I see what it is--tis nowhere I've been. Thanks.
