Connect with DSL (W2K)

I am trying to connect Widows 2000 Professional to the internet with a DSL modem (TI ADSL) to my SBC/Prodigy provider. I can't seem to get it to connect. I think I am configuring the connection incorrectly.
In the wizard it asks for a domain or address to connect to. Or maybe I am using the wrong option by trying the Virtual private Network.
I entered the server address, but maybe it's not what there asking for?

you need to configure dial up net working to connect to your ISP then configure vpn if you need a secure connection to the remote site

The address you want to connect to should just be set to 1.1.1.1. Are you using DUN to get connected, or are you using any DSL software like WinPoet or Enternet?
