I have this network at school (win.2000, but still connected to a network) that I want to get into and be able to get access to every file on the network, how do I do that? Also, how do I get the "RUN" button to show up on my start menu?

Well the thing is, if you dont have access to everything you want, you were probably given those limited rights for a reason. I dont think we'll able to help out in this situation...

You might find out what permissions you are allowed. You will be able to get to all the files you create, unless that changes later (meaning someone higher up the food chain changed the ownership of the file(s).

A bit of advice from an IT tech on a HS campus: If you are a person who should have permission to access the network, like a teacher or administrator or something, talk to one of the IT techs. It only takes a second to change permissions to give you access and they will be happy to do it for you if you ask politely and are in a position to have those permissions. If you are a student, but a trustworthy one with a ligitimate reason for needing access, have a teacher or administrator aproach IT in your behalf. Most people in schools will go out of their way to help a student who wants to learn.

All I want to do is "learn" how to hack. So if I have the admin password then that would be education enough for me. Do you know how to do it?

Hey Rtyler1,

This site doesn't condone teaching people how to circumvent someone else's setup. It's like asking for the keys to someone else's house.

Thanks,
