What error message is displayed when you try to delete the files in W2K?

I had that problem once, here's what I did to get rd of the files:
Installed a stand alone copy of NT4 on a separate drive. Booted to the new copy and was able to remove the folders. Then just delete the new NT directory and edit the boot.ini to remove any trrace of the new NT directory.
May not be the best way, but it did work.

use the POSIX utilities from the resource kit . don't forget to use the " " for the directory names with spaces in them
