Default Opener For a File

Hi, what part of the registry should i look into to change the default opener of my gif/jpg/bmp files? Right now, Adobe Photoshop 5.5 is the default program to open those files and I want MS Paint to be the default program.

Also, i have these files *.nfo and I want Word Pard to be the default opener. What do I change in the registry and how? Can someone please give me some pointers? Thanks in advance.

You don't need to edit the registry for that.
In My Computer go to View/Options/File Types, find the extensions you want to change, click on edit and follow your nose from there

Try this, Shift+right click the file > choose Open with, and select the program you want. Also notice the check box that says something like "always use this program to open"
