The twirling @home symbol is a nuisance in the top right hand part of the IE window. It twirls from the @home symbol to the default world symbol. Does anybody now the registry hack to disable the @home symbol. Thanks.

To remove all Internet Explorer branding , follow the steps below.

Applies to: Internet Explorer 4.x, 5, 5.01, 5.5 for Win 95, 98, 98SE, NT 4.0, 2000
Solution:
PROCEDURE
To remove all Internet Explorer branding :
Click Start.
Click Run.
Type: rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear
Click OK.
Restart Internet Explorer.
You do not need to restart Windows for this change to take effect.

This article describes how to remove the brand name logo from Outlook Express (OE) and Internet Explorer (IE) 4 and 5.
Internet Explorer versions 4.0, 4.01, 4.01 Service Pack 1, 4.01 Service Pack 2, 5 for Windows 95, 98, and NT 4.0 (Microsoft KB Article ID: Q176713).
Solution:
PROCEDURE
Internet Explorer:
To restore the animated Internet Explorer logo, delete the BrandBitmap and SmBrandBitmap string values under the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Internet Explorer | Toolbar
After making the changes, quit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
Outlook Express:
To remove branding from Outlook Express, delete the WindowTitle key or change it's value in the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Identities | (Unique identity code) | Software | Microsoft | Outlook Express | 5.0
After making the changes, quit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
