Win95 w/OE: Is it possible to e-mail a folder "icon", and the receiving party be able to key on the "icon" and reveal the contents? Such as a document folder holding jpg's or bmp's. Thanks,

You want to send the folder and its contents to someone else? You may need to either send a few files from within the folder or compress [zip] the files and send a single attachment. Most ISPs have a general limit of 2MB for a message plus attachment/s and may bounce anything larger.
As to sending just the icon and accessing your hard drive, you are talking about something entirely different. You would need a program that allows another person to dial into your computer and do file management remotely.

if the files are to large to send you might try yahoo if they still have it,,,
they had a place where you could share some hard drive space with friends give them a password to get the files... I played with it at one time about a year ago...
I found the link http://briefcase.yahoo.com/

From what you said I take it you don't use it any more. How'd you like it? Was it no good or did you just not see the need for it?
For what it worth.
I'm just making this up as I go along.
Scoff, ignore, or flame at will.

I just had no need for it.. I'm prob still in the system if there was no timelimit on none use... I would have to download the drivers again because
I have a different hard drive and never reloaded it...
The reason I didn't stick with it was When I checked it out there was not enough MBytes for what I wanted to use it for.....
Thanks

One thing I do need to say is this is a good way to transfer a virus so whoever you trade with
You better trust them like a sister....
you could always just upload and have them get them then delete them but never never retrive them back after you share....
I use a floppy the same way when I get stuff printed at KINKO's the disk goes in the trash like a syringe
Thanks

This MAY be of interest to you...Had to send some sensitive files to a friend by E-Mail. Used this APP.

What is Camouflage?
Camouflage allows you to hide files by scrambling them and then attaching them to the file of your choice. This camouflaged file then looks and behaves like a normal file, and can be stored, used or emailed without attracting attention.
For example, you could create a picture file that looks and behaves exactly like any other picture file but contains hidden encrypted files, or you could hide a file inside a Word document that would not attract attention if discovered. Such files can later be safely extracted.
For additional security you can password your camouflaged file. This password will be required when extracting the files within.
You can even camouflage files within camouflaged files.
