I know there is a reg hack tht enables you to assign bitmaps instead of colors to buttons, taskbars, etc., but i can't find it. Can anyone help me?:}

No, don't think so. There's some external apps that let you do these kinda thing, like WindowBlinds ( http://www.stardock.com/ ). It's shareware though.
There's some more for the taskbar, but they don't work properly or are expensive too...

Won't let you do everything, but try out internet explorer and change out the bitmap, and then get a feel for how it's done. Pick a rather blah one at first though, hee hee I could barely read my icons.
I have not gone and changed out all my bitmap backgrounds yet though. But it worked just fine after restarting.
Good Luck
