Okay, here goes. In Windows XP, whenever you right click a picture in IE to save, it always shows up as Thumbnail view in My Pictures. No matter how many times I change the default viewing in My Places, whether I change it to List, icon or detail view, it always reverts back to Thumbnail view. I don't want Thumbnail view. How do I permanently change it? Is it a registry setting I can modify, or is it something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mat,
open up a folder, get it the way you want, click "Tools", click "Folder Options", click the "View" tab, and click "Apply to all folders". Click "Apply", and "OK".
I'm a newbie, take it easy on me

Okay Kiddies, this is the deal. My problem is not with folder options in Explorer(Thanks Anyway), it is with the "My Places" dialog box you get after you select "Save Picture As" in Internet Explorer in Windows XP. The default folder it automatically opens in, is "My Pictures". This is not the problem. My problem is that it always defaults to "Thumbnail view", no matter how many times I change it. Now this is just the "My Pictures" folder in "My Places". There is got to be some way that I can change this, permanently. This way when I do open the "My Places" diolog box the "My Pictures" folder isn't displaying "Thumbnail views", but "List View" instead like all the rest of the folders. Or maybe even "Detail View". Can anyone help?
