Win95 cut and paste problem

I was having misc. problems in Win95B, so I re-installed Win95B over top of the existing installation. This corrected many problems, but caused a big one - I can no longer cut and paste in any explorer window. I did have IE5 installed before I re-installed, after re-installation IE3 was back. Any ideas why I can't cut and paste?
