I can't seem to remove the Microsoft Networking, Enter Network Password box when Windows starts. I have File and Print Sharing enabled, as I've networked the machine to others. However, this password box only shows up on the one machine. Thanks.

jimmy,

As long as you are NOT logging in to a domain:

Try #3 first, it may do the trick alone, if not go through the following steps.

1. Go to Start>Find>Files & Folders... type in *.pwl and delete all .pwl files in c:\windows

2. Go to start>Run, type sysedit. Maximize the system.ini
Delete all lines under
[Password Lists]

3. Go to ControlPanel>Network
Choose Windows Logon as Primary Login

Reboot

You should now get the login box one last time. Type in your name. Just click OK for no password.

Not yet, try:
Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\curr ent version\network\real mode net\
Right-click on Real Mode Net, choose new>Binary value, name it AutoLogon
and give it a value of 01 00 00 00.

ok im not sure if this'll work, but right-click on network neighbourhood on ur desktop and go properties. select ur network adapter and make sure that the Primary Network Logon is selected as Windows Logon. u'll need 2 restart. I'm using a single computer with a network card, as i play LAN games regulary, and this worked for me, so hopefully its the same 4 u.

good luck
